Not the Right TV

For those of you considering this television, allow me to deter you from making a mistake. This television is not the right Sony to purchase for a number of reasons. As a ex-Sears electronics employee, allow me to enlighten you.

*First off, look in the brand name and you will find an "S". (KP61-S70) This is where you will be able to differentiate this television from its upgraded sister, the KP61-V70.

*This television does not have a first surface mirror. This is the greatest difference between the two televisions. The first surface mirror is going to brighten the viewing picture by 100%. It will be twice as bright. You will be much more satisfied with the picture crispness and quality with a first surface mirror. This mirror is concave and sits behind the projection screen. The picture is sent through the mirror to you.

*Next, this television does not have rear-speaker inputs. You cannot create your own surround sound with this TV. With rear speaker inputs, you have no need to go buy an amplifier. You can simply hook the speakers to the rear of the television and you have rear sound for your movies!

*In Addition, the television does not have theater view. Theater view allows you to see 10 channels at once. It will remind you of channel surfing without switching the channels.

*This television also doesn't have as much amplification to its built in surround speakers. This means you'll have to turn up the volume to get more sound.

*Finally, if you've ever notice the picture will dim when you move to the right and left of the television. This television will do just that, however, the active-matrix in the "V" series will provide less dimming.

Good luck in your purchases, and remember, go with the V-series.
