Bought it when it came out at about $1000. Real pain to move it even with 2 people. About 3 weeks after I bought it, I notice a very small fuzzy line when the screen was black. Really didn't bother me as much, and since it was so huge I didn't want to return it. Since I have a surround sound reciever I never bother using the speakers, so really can't comment on it. I really didn't notice that much of an improvement with components[monster cable] over S video[generic]. I had to pause the dvd player to see what the difference was. The components had a slightly better colors and a bit brighter screen. For me it wasn't worth it for the monster cables, so you decide. Color, contrast, brightness was good. Picture to me was sharp. Watching with directv, and dvd was great, cable was so, so. Never bother to use rabbit ears.Remote was easy for me, it might be akward to some, easy for others. On screen menu was easy for me to understand but my brothers had a hard time with it. I don't have kids so I didn't use the parental lock.
