Outstanding picture quality, but Sony can be pricey!

Pros picture quality, looks
Cons number of video inputs, weight, pricey
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  You will pay more for a better quality picture, however don't break your back in the process.
This TV is more expensive than most other TV's of its size, but the quality of the picture is outstanding. When combined with a new Sony dvd player, this TV has a very crisp and vivid picture. The screen is perfectly flat and the colors are on the money. I currently connect these two with an S-video cord, but this TV also accepts component video.

This TV has only one component video input and one S-video input. If you have more than one video component with component video or S-video outputs, you will not be able to maximize their potential if you don't have an audio/video receiver. It would be more helpful if this TV came with 2 S-video and 2 component video inputs. With today's technology, many video components have component video outputs and even more have S-video. You will have to dish out more cash for an audio/video receiver if you want to take advantage of this TV.

This electronic brick is quite heavy to move around. You will need 2 strong people to move it. I recommend that you find a good place to put it and don't move it!

One feature needs improvement. This TV has a 16 by 9 enhanced feature that allows the picture to change into a 16 by 9 proportion. When your playing a dvd in fullscreen mode and turn this feature on, the pixel quality is improved, however the proportion of the images is not right. For example, this flaw is most noticeable when a person is on the screen. The person usually looks too wide.
