The Sony KV-32HS20 is a great buy if you?re looking at getting into the ?HDTV ready? market. If you can run a microwave, you can set this TV up without reading the instructions?I did. The menu driven set-up is very easy to understand, and the notes that pop up to explain every function are great. Plus you get tons of great features like: 16:9 enhancements, twin view (PIP) with zoom capability, steady sound, parental control (V chip), freeze frame, favorites (preview other channels while still watching your current program). And many other features.
I upgraded from a 25? TV to this one witch is 32? flat screen?very nice. This TV also offers plenty of hookups in the rear and quite a few on the front.
So if you?re looking at getting a HDTV ready TV I would most defiantly recommend this one.
On the other side, this TV is very heavy. But as the salesman told me that?s common with HDTV?s due to all the hardware inside that makes the TV high definition capable. So you will most defiantly need a minimum of 2 people to help you move this TV. Also HDTV?s can experience pixel burn out. So the extended warranty is much more expensive. Weather or not you really need the extended warranty is yet to be proven, due to the newness of HDTV?s. But I went with the warranty just to be safe.
