An exceptional tv at a high price...

Pros Beautiful picture, excellent sound, neo-high tech look.
Cons Lack of separate video input buttons on remote.
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  A truly exceptional tv and a high $$$.
I have owned the Kv-32hs510 since 2/19/04. I have carefully tested and configured the tv to my liking, and have found the range of features and innovation to be truly outstanding. I had been shopping for a tv for the last 5 months, and finally decided to incest in this set due to it's upgradable connections and superb picture quality. I adore the vivid color temperatures offered by watching standard cable (which obviously does cannot compare to more advanced cable/satellite services), but more importantly by the brilliant reproduction of DVD and Xbox entertainment (connected via Monster component cables). This set accentuates the detail and clarity presented by any source I have connected it to with the utmost "doctoring" (i.e. DRC) to give the picture a truly fantastic energy. Vibrant and bold colors, crisp edge definement, and smooth transition make watching any source a great pleasure.
Sound is excellent, with the TruSurround accentuating ambient background noises not ususally heard from regular television speakers. I have a Denon surround system that I use for decoding movies and the Xbox, but have found the innate sound a true step above what I was expecting.
I can say the only downfall of the TV is the lack of separate buttons on the remote for the (up to 7) alternate connections the tv can make. I didn't think this was a hindrance in my reading, but have found this sole (albeit small) obstacle an annoyance. That being said, you (and I) can easily learn to put up with tiny problems for such a huge payoff.
The price I paid was $1299, straight from BestBuy. Was that too much? With shipping included, the CHEAPEST price on the net was $1140 for me (I did not purchase the extended warranty). I feel comfortable with a physical location to ask questions and/or service the set (if it should need so).
All in all, I feel that the set was a wonderful investment (I am a student, so I have a payment plan in full effect) and think I made a wise decision. I give the Kv-32hs510 my full endorsement.
