I wasn't sure if I should spend so much on a TV when I could get one for about half the price and a new DVD player but I found one on sale. Once I hooked it up I was in love. DVD's looked the way they are supposed to and sound was amazing. I did some reading on the web and bought a set of Monster component cables. They cost way too much but after I hooked them up I was amazed. The picture was even better. Colours were more vivid and defined. Blacks were blacker, whites whiter, greens, reds and blues looked amazing. This TV can give amazing picture and sound right out of the box, but when you hook it up to a good DVD player with quality cables and a good surround sound system it will blow you away. I would buy this TV again 100 times.
