We recently remodeled our home and I was looking for a TV that didn't sit on the ground. We purchased a home entertainment center and needed something to fit in it. Because of the location of the entertainment center in our family room we wanted something that we could view from all angles so we decided to get a flat screen.
I wasn't prepared for the sharpness and clarity of the television when we got it set up at home. The picture looked good in the store, but it was even better at home. Watching movies on our video or DVD player is almost like being at the movies, only better, because we can stop it and go to the bathroom or whatever.
We had to buy extra accessories to hook it up to our surround sound system and that was an added expense.
Anyone who is looking for a flat screen TV should definitely consider SONY. Our TV is a 36", but with the flat screen it looks even bigger and no matter where we sit in the room we can see it. It is clear, crisp, has picture in picture, many Auxiliary ports and it is very attractive.
