Sony KV-36XBR250 36 inch TV

Finally,and hopefully SONY has got its show together with this one.Having observed the WEGA 250 in electronics stores first hand, I think it has.The 250 is a beautiful machines. Unfortunately, I purchased an earlier version called the WEGA 2000 and have had nothing but trouble with it. I bought three sets altogether with the same defect.Some of the earlier models were shipped with defective yokes which caused geometrical picture distortion-mainly pin cushioning of the picture.The first set I had to return because the technician could not repair it.The relpacement set had the same problem, but the store would not refund my money, because I didn't have the box.I ended up giving the one thousand dollar set to a charity.The third set I bought was over two thousand dollars in price and still was defective, though not as bad as the other two.I finally decided to call another SONY dealer to have it repaired. It took them three days to put a new upgraded yoke in. The results were an
improvement in the picture, but it was not that great.
Whose fault was this ? Was SONY to blame,the store where I bought it, or were the defects my imagination? Having perused the newsgroups on the Internet, I was astounded to find so many examples of others having gone through this same horror.I have always loved SONY products, but I will be leery of buying anything else from them unless they give a recall of this product.
