Day in, Day out...

The cost of blank MiniDisc's.

Yes
Greetings, I now own 2 MDS-JB920's! I have used one for over a year now. It sits on my desk solo, connected to a pair of computer speakers and I use it everyday. My second deck for about 3 months, it's connected to my home theater system.
Being in sales, I have a huge audio library of motivational, self improvement, business, and audio books all on cassette.
I got so tired of the cassettes wearing out, being eaten, and the Sun melting them in the car.
After searching for something better, I was introduced to the MiniDisc.
I am still very impressed! I have over 280 MiniDisc's now in my collection, and growing.
What I love about it the most is, the CD part is protected from scratches in it's own little case, unlike a regular CD. Next; the compact size, and the ease of recording. Just like recording a cassette, couldn't be simpler!
As far as recording music, you can record in Digital from a DVD/CD Player via an optical cable included with the MD deck.
I can't tell a difference from the original CD and my personal MD copy.
It's great to compile all your favorite songs onto one disc. No more searching for that one song, then fumbling for the next CD.
I did buy the extended warranty and I wasted my money thus far.
NOT the first lick of trouble with either decks...
Labeling your MD's are easily done with the remote control. even
re-arranging tracks is done simply with a touch of the edit button. Try that one on a cassette!!!
Sony does offer pre-recorded music by various artists on MD format, there just hard to find in music stores.
I highly recommend this deck to everyone.
It's uses and capabilities out perform the conventional Tape Decks and CD Players.
