The Bottom Line:
Either the mdx-c62 or mdx-c65 will work with any unilink model made by Sony.
I actually have an mdxc62 (essentially the same unit without the optical output) Plays on road trips (4-7 hours non stop with no a/c in a console) Paired with cdx-c7050 x Es series receiver and xm-405eqx amplifier. Very happy with it in every respect !!! Especially being able to change any of the other five minidiscs while playing the sixth. Try that with a c/d changer. Also buffers music to lessen "dead " space when switching discs. Extremely small, built like a " Mack " truck. Lots of metal inside !!! Unilink setup only requires one unilink cable and two rca's connected to head unit. Power is supplied thru unilink cable , man is Sony great !!! MIINIDISCS RULE !!!
