A Decent Shelf System At A Decent Price

Pros 3-CD changer, digital out for Minidisc, Dual tape decks
Cons The sound quality is only OK
Recommended it? No
I love music, so when I went shopping for a reliable shelf system there were a lot of specific things that I was looking for. The Sony MHC-RXD5 had everything I wanted in it. It has a 3-CD changer, dual tape deck, and an output for a minidisc player. The 3 CD changer was a nice thing to have so that I don't have to stop to change CDs. Since I have a large CD collection, I like this feature a lot. Since I have a minidisc player, I don't really ever use a tape player, but it is a nice feature to have, especially for those of us who are still living in the stone age and using tapes. The nicest feature that this system has is the digital out for minidisc. This way i can record minidiscs from my room. I can also make it play a programmed series of songs for making mixes. Now, I know that all of the features I have talked about are standard, but that's what you expect from a shelf system under $300 dollars. I paid $250 for this, and the price has dropped significantly ($50) since when I bought it about half a year ago. I wouldn't really recommend this to a friend, just because you can get better ones out there for your money.
