I have owned this portable unit for about a year and a half now. My father gave it to me for my birthday in the summer of 1999. He later bought one for himself, the MZ-E25. He had previously bought the desktop system, Sony's MDS-JE520. I love mine, and use it very often. The MZ-EP11 has great... Read full review »

Pros Looks, Durability, Volume, Ease of Use
Cons Battery Life
Recommended it? Yes

The Sony MD Walkman MZ-EP11 is by far, superior to any sony minidisc player on the market.

I feel that the EP-11 is the most durable players in the market. My other MD Players (MZ-E40, MZ-E60, MZ-R70) have all been dropped or hit by something, and currently, both are out of commission... Read full review »

Before the IPOD and the Rio, there was the SONY MZ-EP11 Minidisc player. While MP3 players are being hailed as "the next big thing" in the music player industry, this review may just change your mind. While the MZEP-11 player is a minidisc (not MP3) player, I have found it to be a durable and... Read full review »

I bought this product because my portable CD player broke, and I wanted to stay current! I have never been happier--the product met all my expectations and exceeded in some aspects.

While working at a college radio station three years ago, I was exposed to the wonder of MiniDisc. Essentially a small, rewriteable CD housed within a plastic shell, the MD is a perfect medium for creating mixes, recording live performances, and just carrying around.

At the radio station,... Read full review »

I first bought this MD Player off EBay for $100. It was within my price range, and was my first forage into MD Technology. This unit can now be bought for as cheap as $80 at a Sony retail outlet, or somewhere around $50 on EBay. The price is amazing if you compare it to the average discman.

The Sony MZ-EP11 player is great for entry level MD beginners that already have a means of recording minidiscs or will just listen to pre-recorded discs. The durability, sound and headphones are all excellent aspects.
