Wish I'd bought an MP3 player, but damn it looks hot!

Pros Be the envy of all gadget-lovers.
Cons Cruddiest headphones I've ever owned. Oh, and no uploading (like all Net MDs).
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  Depending on your uses for it, the Net MD in general, and MZN-10 in specific may be the best portable yet or way too restrictive. Read babyeddy7's review as well.
The MZN-10 is the top of the Sony MD line, in case you couldn't tell by its price. I bought mine from etronics.com, and I saved about $200CAD from Best Buy/Future Shop (I am in Alberta, Canada), even with exchange and GST.

The other review on this product is very in-depth, so I will not delve into the features of the product, except to say that the instruction book is over 100 pages long! You don't really need to read it though, as the menus and functions are pretty intuitive - I suggest skimming the manual to see all the different functions and thereafter using it as a reference.

As I mostly agree with the other review, I will list some of the negatives I've found to balance any decision you might make:

I am excited to be an owner of the MZN-10, and only just received it 2 days ago, but for the price, I must admit I was expecting more. The headphones that came with it are some of the most irritating I have ever worn, taking the worst parts of headband hair and uncomfortable earbuds and combining it with Jensen-quality sound. Count on buying a new pair. I bought Sony again as I wanted to use the remote without tripping over cord length, and they seem to be the only ones who stock cords with remotes so you can unplug the top half. The kind I bought can be found here, and are the most comfortable earbuds I've ever had:

The other con of the MD in general is Sony's downloading software. It uses a complex system of "check-in/check-out", so that MP3's, even copies of your own CDs, can only be copied on 3 different MDs before you have to check-in the song from one disc if you want to move it to another. This from the same company that fought copyright regulations in the 80s so it could bring Betamax recordings into the home. In addition, you can't take an analog recording and upload it to your computer. For example, I am a bedroom DJ, and wanted to hook the MD to my mixer, and port a good mix over to my computer with the MD to burn a CD for the car. Impossible.

MP3 players, however, have none of these restrictions, depending on the company you buy from, making me re-think my decision.

(On the bright side, there are ways to get past download restrictions. One is to use Realplayer or Nero instead of Sony's software...check http://www.minidisct.com/ for details. That same site is currently lobbying Sony for an upload patch for the software.)
