I bought my Sony MZ-R30 almost a year ago, and I am totally in love with it. The design is sleek and smooth to the touch, and it is compact and lightweight for easy travel. Some may ask why an MD is better than a CD player. Well, there are too many reasons to list. First off, you can record the... Read full review »

Pros Very nice design, full featured unit, reasonably priced
Cons The microplug in the remote

if you ever looked for a way to replace the tape format which would take advantage of digital technology, MD's are the answer. And if you ever wanted a full featured portable recorder which would record audio at near Cd quality, the MZR30 is a great buy!

Because MD's are so small, the... Read full review »

I?ve got to think back on this one, because I bought it over three years ago now?

First off, unless you buy a used one, you?ll be lucky to find one of these left on the shelves, as it?s long been superseded. However, if you ARE buying one, and want some opinion, here?s mine.

I got the MZ-R35 as a Christmas present. It's slightly dated now but I use it almost every day. My mini disc came in a nice blue colour that looks cool.

Recording CD's is a "doddle" using the optical connection. Just plug it in, press the syncro start button and flick the record switch... Read full review »

I bought this product because of Sony's name. I bought it from Good Guys and immediately recorded some songs using my wife's portable CD player. The recording was very good - I couldn't tell the difference from the original. The only thing I didn't like about it was that the remote control had a... Read full review »

I picked up this little baby in '98 (can't exactly remember when, it was not cheap back then) and it has never given me a problem. I have put THOUSANDS of songs through it, both recording and playback. I have probably listened to a couple thousand hours of music on it without even a hiccup, the... Read full review »

Pros Memory for storing song names and artists, portability, and excellent sound.
Cons Fairly heavy in weight.

I bought this product because when minidiscs came out, I was very amazed. I love to get things when they just come out, even though that is the time in which they are the most expensive. I wanted one very much because I could record off the radio, my audio cassettes, CD's, and especially the MP3's... Read full review »
