Can't live without my MZ-R30. If you love music, you need an MD player!
I bought my Sony MZ-R30 almost a year ago, and I am totally in love with it. The design is sleek and smooth to the touch, and it is compact and lightweight for easy travel. Some may ask why an MD is better than a CD player. Well, there are too many reasons to list. First off, you can record the... Read full review »
Don't mix with H2O!
I have had this MD player/recorder for 3 years! I have had no problems with it. Plays/records very well( as well as a CD ), no scipin', very small, easy to use, and long batt. life. You can recorded from any media (TV, radio, CD, and for the older crowd, tapes or lp's) with out a hitch. Remember... Read full review »
so much for so little
if you ever looked for a way to replace the tape format which would take advantage of digital technology, MD's are the answer. And if you ever wanted a full featured portable recorder which would record audio at near Cd quality, the MZR30 is a great buy!
Because MD's are so small, the...

Leave CDs at home
I?ve got to think back on this one, because I bought it over three years ago now?

Recording CD's is a "doddle" using the optical connection. Just plug it in, press the syncro start button and flick the record switch...

Cool gadget
I bought this product because of Sony's name. I bought it from Good Guys and immediately recorded some songs using my wife's portable CD player. The recording was very good - I couldn't tell the difference from the original. The only thing I didn't like about it was that the remote control had a... Read full review »
EZ to use - Even in Japanese
I just got the Blue Japanese version of the SONY MZ-R30 from somebody in Texas on Ebay for $211 (including shipping)and also got 5 blank mini-disks and an extra rechargeable battery. At first I wasn't sure what to do with it (especially since all the buttons are labeled in Japanese and didn't get a... Read full review »
A legend in its own right
I picked up this little baby in '98 (can't exactly remember when, it was not cheap back then) and it has never given me a problem. I have put THOUSANDS of songs through it, both recording and playback. I have probably listened to a couple thousand hours of music on it without even a hiccup, the... Read full review »
The Sony MZ-R30 Minidisc Player
I bought this product because when minidiscs came out, I was very amazed. I love to get things when they just come out, even though that is the time in which they are the most expensive. I wanted one very much because I could record off the radio, my audio cassettes, CD's, and especially the MP3's... Read full review »
