I was given a Sony MZ-R55 as a Christmas present. This thing is so cool and useful that I have formed some kind of insane obsession over it. Let me explain why. First off, it records anywhere, from anything you can stick a audio cord in. This thing is good for recording off your computer, off your radio in your car, off your stereo, and even a microphone! What happens when you have a disc recorded that you don't want anymore? Erase it and write on it again, and again. Program the name of each CD so it comes up on the screen as you search through the songs. The best feature on the whole thing I believe, has to be the remote. This little gadget controls almost everything remotely so there is no need for you to get the whole player out of your pocket and play with the controls. You don't even need to look at it, just hold it in your hand, (very comfy to hold by the way), and twist and push away! The buttons are so easy to remember that the only time you'll want to look is when watching the song names scroll by on your backlit mini-display right on the remote. Recording is easy as anything just press record and leave it there to copy from anywhere. The only complaint some people may have is the battery life. 4hrs battery life isn't great but just add the AA battery case to the outside and now you have 16 hours of playback, non-stop. I carry mine everywhere I go, no matter where. Highly recommended and definately worth the money.
