The Bottom Line:
This is a great product if you want something compact, high quality and a great price
I recently purchased the Sony 2GB for something to put a lot of music on, and also something to put pictures of my kids on. This is the greatest little unit, because it does everything I want and I didn't have to spend a ton of money on it. It is so easy to load music and pictures on, and even though I'm good with computers and gadgets, I didn't want to spend a tom of time trying to figure out how to transfer my data.
I initially thought I wasn't going to try and put video on it, but I changed my mind. This is where I ran into issues. All the video I was trying to transfer either wouldn't go on, or the player said it was not formatted for that player. Somehow I wasn't able to convert the files I had to the file format they needed to be. I ended up doing a web search for conversion software specifically for converting WMV files to MPEG4 files. (That cost an additional $29.)
I am a little disappointed that it didn't come with some type of cover for it, and when searching for accessories such as cases, I found few options. I also agree with other reviews that the ear buds aren't the most comfortable. I just use a pair I had purchased for something else.
Overall, I am really happy with this product, and once I got through the software glitches, all was good.
