the ps3 is has definitely surpassed the Wii and 360 in the console wars. I hope this review convinces you to buy one.Graphics: The graphics on this machine are stunning. If you are playing on a standard def tv, the graphics look high def. if you are playing on a high def tv, it is hard to tell them apart from the real thing. All of the ps3 games are currently using only half of the ps3's cell processor which means the graphics can only get better. and by better i mean frighteningly good.Games: there is a vast library of games for this console including many excellent exclusives including; Socom Confrontation, Ratchet and Clank, Little Big Planet, Gran Turismo, Resistance, God of War 3 and especially Metal Gear Solid 4. All of these games are very fun and play seamlessly on the ps3 with few to no lags or glitches. In the next few months we ca expect wonderful new titles like Resistance 2, call of Duty 5, Little Big Planet and God of War 3.Online: The online for the ps3 is great. About one or two weeks ago, sony announced the release date of an official sony bluetooth headset for use on the playstation network. this will be bundled with socom and sold for $60. it is also going to be sold separately for $50. Online for the ps3 is free. you can dowload game demos, arcade games, movies, tv shows, music and so much more. at e3 sony also announced playstation home. it will be like second life except in 3d high def. you will be able to customize a charcter and even create a house for them. you interact with other playstation 3 users and invite them to join you in an online game like little big planet. Hardware: the model has an 80GB hard drive which is plenty room for games movies and whatever else you ca think of. the ps3 has a 0.1 percent chance of failure, where the xbox 360 has a 30 percent chance of failure. the ps3 does not overheat which allows for hours of gameplay. you can even purchase a version of linux for the ps and use it as your computer. the ps3 can hold up to seven bluetooth controllers. the ones sony makes cost $55 each. these controllers have vibrate functionality and can be used for motion sensing like the wii remotes can. all in all the ps3 is one heck of a system.
