Why I got a second PS3
Pros
Does everything. A true multimedia center.
Cons
Loss of backwards compatibility. Loss if 2 usb ports and flash card readers.

If you want to read some excellent reviews, read about all the different models of Playstation 3. They are all pretty much the same with the following differences:
This and the 160 Gig Uncharted bundle are the new models and pretty much what you will find in stores.
Different sized hard drives. I think the 80 gig models will have enough hard drive space for pretty much anyone unless you are planning on downloading a lot of movies and shows. Plus, if you ever need more HDD space Sony made the PS3's so that you can purchase pretty much any 2.5" laptop hard dirve and install it without voiding the warranty.
This 80 gig model only has 2 usb ports compared to older ones that had 4. It also dosen't have the flash card readers that the older models had.
This 80 gig model is NOT backwards compatible with playstation 2 games. Some local video game retailer employees are still claiming that sony will eventually come out with a software patch that will allow back compat, but everything i read indicates that they never will. Dont plan on it.
This 80 gig model has a smaller cell processor which uses less electricity and runs cooler.
Now, the reason I purchased a second PS3 is because they are absolutly amazing. I wrote a pretty extensive review of my first 80 gig (MGS4 bundle) console. Read it and you will know why I absolutley love it. I have it in my room though, and wanted my kids to have one in the basement. They really enjoy it. They use it for games, playing by themselves, with friends at our house and online. They use it to watch all of their movies, both dvd and blueray. They use it to surf the internet. I have it locked out so that they cant download anything without me, but I will download movies and games for them. They use it to keep in contact with their friends. They can send messages, compare trophies, and play gamew with friends. They save their music on the hard drive and can listen to it whenever they want. They hardly ever touch any other system now. We dont have a xbox360, so i cant really compare it with that, but if you want to know why i chose PS3 over 360, read my other review.
