Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  If your looking for CD Recorder, PLease get the Sony CDR-W1. It makes crystal clear recordings, in a short amount of time. Also, its probably the best value.
Many people consider Sony the Electronic King. Well.. they are. Sony has made this outstanding cd recording system and it beats every other cd recorder nomatter the brand at the $400+ level. Cd Recorders are very high tech and this burner beats todays standards by a mile.

Major Features: First of all, this recorder has normal speed dubbing, high speed dubbing ( 4x ), and it can record music or any souund from even another electronic component. Another great thing about this CD Recorder, is that it has just aout every type of input and output for digital and analogue sound. It has Digital Optical inputs so you can connect thus burner to your receiver and record from many sources. Also, it includes digital optical outputs for playin digital music. This recorder also has 2 seperate trays and both have seperate outputs so you can connect it to a mixer if your a dj, or, if you just like having each tray connected to a differentt input on your reciever.
This burner has a 1 minute finilization time which will allow you do play your burned cd on all or most cd players. The only TRUE THING I was dissapointed about this player, is that it did't allow you to assign text to a disc. This truely is not a NEED for anyone, i just thought it would be somewhat neat if it did.
