I am an avid music listener, and for a long time I sat on the fence regarding buying an SACD or a DVD-A player. Well, I walked into Best Buy one afternoon, and the CE-775 was there as an open box special for $175. I couldn't say no!
I have owned other Sony changers, and I love them. They are set up very logically, and run flawlessly. I was somewhat prepared for the improvement of SACD over CD, but I was really astounded in A/B comparisons (with my mid-fi cd player) of how much better they truly sounded. Then, when I finally hooked it up for multi-channel use, well, there was no turning back! With SACD titles growing every week, I am happy I made this leap.
I cannot compare this unit to other SACD players, but as a cd player, it rivals my older NAD changer. In terms of the remote, it is very functional and easy to use. Set-up, too, is a breeze.
