Sony SHR-M1 FM Radio

After several weeks looking for a MP-3 portable music solution that would include an FM tuner, I found my options seemed compromised. I decided to search for a headset with an FM tuner. What gave me the idea was the Sony minidisk player with the cord remote that houses the FM tuner. I thought it was reasonable to find a stand-alone headset of good quality that did the same as the minidisk player, which otherwise did not impress me. Well, Sony definitely was on the mark when I found this headset, in fact this also has AM, not used by me. The SHR-M1 Walkman allowed me to get a 20 gig Jukebox for my MP-3's and not have to worry about its' lack of a tuner when I'm mobile.
The Sony SHR-M1 is an excellent MP-3 player headphone. Turn off the radio and plug in your player (double male cord included with headsets) and the sound is as good as MP-3 players get... 24 Ohm impedance and frequencies from 14 to 24000 Hz.
At 3.5 oz. with the battery installed, they are a bit heavier than other headphones, but still very light from my experience. I have had no discomfort wearing them while running. In fact, days where I don't hook up my player, I just throw these on and run. Extremely convenient.
Yes, the sound is great, but in the future I would like to see some tone control offered on these. Also, while running, it would be nice to be able to have an autosearch.
The current controls for volume and tuning are intuitive and convenient to use without having to take off the headset.
