Wow! What a WONDERFUL product! We have been looking for a child friendly VCR for my two and a half year old for a few months, and Santa came thru! The MovieTime VCR by Sony is a Godsend!
This VCR is simple to use, without a complicated remote or functions. The lock on the door is great for families with children who like to shove things into anything they can. This VCR also has a repeat feature so it will play a tape, then rewind, and play it again up to five times, as well as a timer that will shut it off after a set amount of time.
Our favorite thing about this VCR is that when a tape is over and it starts rewinding, you don't get the fuzz that we used to get. My daughter would FREAK when this happens, and now a cute little animation comes on and she keeps watching!!
The colors go well with the child theme, and the buttons are big and bright so that she can work it herself. The picture is clear and crisp, not digital quality, but fine for Barney movies!! And the sound not too bad at all.
I wouldn't recommend this VCR for families that are going to use it for their main VCR, because it isn't the best on the market for sound and picture quality, but for those of us looking for a good, safe and secure VCR for the kids, the Sony MovieTime model really fits the bill!
