Buyer Beware. The N750 will not record off the Directv Tivo hard drive in color. Why? Who knows, certainly not Sony, which denies there's a problem despite post after post on various websites from affected owners (check out Tivo community). Sony's only offer, spend another $45 to $80 dollars (depending on your warranty status) for an identical, "refurbished" model, that also doesn't work. I borrowed an 8yr old Zenith VCR, and using the same cables/hook-up/and tape was able to record in full color. If you want to spend an hour or so dealing with Sony's lame, living in denial customer "support", feel free to buy the N750. If you have Directv Tivo, and enjoy color recordings, buy another brand!
