Amazing for the first 8 months
Pros
looks nice, lots of bells and whistles, 52x4 amplifier, VERY INEXPENSIVE
Cons
mechanism gets weak over time, buttons begin to go crazy/stop functioning
Recommended it?
Yes
Back in early 2002 i got this cd player off of ebay for a little shy of $200... The onboard amp is suprizingly powerful (for the price that i payed) and i ran my 4 alpine type-s's and it still had a good amount of treble in the sound(not bad for 23watts rms on 200watt alpines). the equalizer is very nice, and the front screen is very nice looking in the dark, the blackout function is also useful incase of those pesky porkers or punkass kids. looks like a hole in your dash at night.
However, i lost my remote, began to resort to using the buttons on the inside panel, and due to the way this cd player folds down, it puts alot of pressure on the mechanism when you press buttons, the ribbon which connected the front face to the cd player began to deteriorate as well, but all that aside, for $200 when it was still $379 in a store, a STEAL for sure, recommended to anyone wanting something attractive and reliable on a budget, but if you want quality, get a pioneer or an ALPINE, there is no better!
