Sony Walkman D-NE300 Personal CD Player

Well, I pretty much got what I expected for sixty bucks. While I didn't get a bunch of cool features like extra bass, shuffle, or repeat, I got standard Sony quality. These days you expect your cd player to be durable, read through some pretty tough scratches, and sound good. And this one does. One thing that makes me particularly happy (and for some reason this seems to happen more often with the cheaper discmen) is that this plays LOUD. You know, when you've got a cd from the '80's or with low production quality it doesn't play as loud as a new cd? Well this cd player can be cranked WAY up high...that's always important. And it's light, which you wouldn't think adds to the durability, but it doesn't hit as hard when it's dropped.

It plays mp3's and comes with its own software, which allows you to put a bunch more mp3's on a cd than normal--but really, just download audiograbber. It's fast and it doesn't take up NEARLY as much space. This is a great cd player if your needs are simple. If you like special features, get something else.
