Cons Weak output, poor battery lid design, won't save any settings except EQ when battery...

The Sony D-NE500 would've been a truly good player if it wasn't for Sony's conservatism and somewhat careless treatment of features.

Pros 60 hour battery life from one battery! Four line dot matrix display Great sounding...
Cons Remote control does not have a LCD display No output connections for stereo or MD

I recently bought the D-NE500 as a cheep replacement to my older early model Minidisc player which is very out of date at this time.

My first impression was that it looks and feel a lot nicer than older Sony CD Walkman models that used to sell at or around this price.

Pros Excellent compression technology, great storage capacity, very low power usage with 1AA...
Cons Menu is awkward, buttons are somewhat small, keep track of which discs are ATRAC3
