I was looking for a replacement for the CD player that stopped working in my 22 year old Kenwood stacked stereo system. I looked at the reviews on Epinions and someone had purchased this player for the same reason so I purchased it. It fits in the stand even though the legs hang a little bit over the back edge of the shelf but enough to hold the other equipment. It hooked up very easy and plugged right it to the amplifier. It works great!! I was so excited because I didn't want to get rid of my system because everything else worked fine. I would highly recommend this player if you are looking for a Kenwood DP-M97 replacement.
