This Player was Really Built to Last for a Long Time!

Pros Easy to use, it lasts a long time, great remote control
Cons none
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  If you want to have a player that is reliable and last a long time, buy the Sony DVD/VCR combo player
Introduction

It was March 20, 2008 when I wrote this review and I remember we bought this VCR/DVD combo player in December 2002 for a Christmas gift at BEST BUY in Thousand Oaks, California for $225 and the Sony DVD player finally died!

Why did I buy the Sony DVD/VCR combo player?

- It is a lot more durable than the Panasonic and the JVC. After owning 1 Panasonic DVD/VCR combo player that lasted 1 year and 1 JVC DVD/VCR combo player that lasted only 4 months. I decided to the Sony DVD/VCR combo player, well the price is a lot more expensive than the Panasonic and the JVC, but it lasted for 6 years.

- It is very easy to use and

- There 1 composite video/audio input slots and 1 audio/video output slot. There is also the S video connection slot.

- It is a very simple player and it doesn't take very long to connect all the cables.

- The remote that came with it is very easy to use and it works with SONY TVs! Yes, there is a switch on the remove that can control both Sony TV if you have one and the player itself.

- It is a real tough player because, I remember I dropped it once when we were cleaning the house and it still worked perfectly after I dropped it.

- I can also transfer a MINI DV or HI-8 movie tape from my camcorder to a VHS tape.

What kind of media can this player play?

This player can almost play all kinds of DVD and VCD formats. It plays DVD, DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+R, DVD+RW, CD, SVCD, VCD, and VHS formats. It even play a pirated DVD from China!

The Bad Side

Well since this player finally broke after 6 years of use and it lasted for a long time, now I have no reason to go shopping to buy for the latest or the newest DVD/VCR combo player.

Will I recommend this player to my friends and family?

My answer will be "Yes, buy this DVD/VCR combo player!" You won't be sorry! When Best Buy representative asks you if you want to buy the $50 extended 2 years warranty program, you can turn them down. The player will outlast the warranty, and you can use the $50 to take your wife or husband to eat dinner.

In Conclusion

This is a miracle DVD/VCR combo player, because it lasted 6 years. Thank you for reading this review, I hope it's been very helpful.
