Pros Durable, batteries last a respectable time, no wires
Cons Questionable reception, uncomfortable fit
Recommended it? No

I have recently begun adding miles to my mid-distance runs. Hoping to fend off the boredom that usually arrives around mile 3-4, I decided to invest in some entertainment. What better than the tunes transmitted by pop and rock radio stations? Not wanting to deal with wires and a heavy box hanging... Read full review »

Pros Improved dynamic sound almost overcomes setbacks.
Cons Wabbly softer plastic, more weight, odd feel and loose.
Recommended it? Yes

Perplexed The HM33 has a 3 star review average and Sony should have tested better ... read on. A shame given its improvements!

I have had two older models of this head set, and I must first admit - WOW compared to the two prior Sony models! But, all is not right, in fact some things seem... Read full review »

Pros Lots of presets, lightweight and comfortable, great sound quality, easy to operate while...
Cons FM reception can be spotty (but better than other portable radios I've owned).
Recommended it? Yes

As a person who hates exercise, I've found that some sort of distraction while working out is essential to keep me sticking to my 4 times per week exercise routine. My distraction when I walk outside is listening to tunes or NPR on my ancient Aiwa portable radio/cassette player. The radio (I don't... Read full review »

SONY WALKMAN AM/FM radio
=========================================================

I was tempted by the nice design that is compact, and had digital tuning. Thinking that a SONY device should be reliable, I purchased it for listening to the radio while running. The features included... Read full review »

Sony SRF-HM 55 better reception but design still flawed.

Pros Lightweight, good reception
Cons Tiny buttons/dials make it hard to use; darned battery door pops open
Recommended it? No

My wife wanted to get a radio for her daily walks, and did not want a necklace model or one that straps to the arm; a headset model was the solution. The Sony SRF-HM 33 was not available, so I purchased the SRF-HM55. Using the unit is fairly straight forward; it sits on the head well, and manages... Read full review »

Pros Digital tuning - no earphone wires!
Cons A bit warmer that the tiny ear buds
Recommended it? Yes

I use this radio at the health club for spinning classes and general exercise. The reception is generally OK, it's comfortable and the sound is nice. I really like the digital tuning as it makes finding the in-house FM rebroadcast channels that the club uses easier to find. This radio also has an... Read full review »
