Sony SRF-HM 55 better reception but design still flawed.
Pros
Lightweight, good reception
Cons
Tiny buttons/dials make it hard to use; darned battery door pops open

No
The Bottom Line:
Lightweight, good reception, stays in place during exercise, but design flaws make it a pain.
My wife wanted to get a radio for her daily walks, and did not want a necklace model or one that straps to the arm; a headset model was the solution. The Sony SRF-HM 33 was not available, so I purchased the SRF-HM55. Using the unit is fairly straight forward; it sits on the head well, and manages to get pretty good reception out here on the Pacific coast, where the foothills often make reception dicey. Initially, getting it set up with the presets was not as intuitive as it should be; you need to read the instructions to figure out the process.
Also, the buttons and readouts are quite small, making it tough for the bifocally-challenged (me, for one). After installing the batteries, make sure the battery door is snapped shut; if it's not, it will pop open. (NOTE: The battery door popped open during use after this was written. A definite design flaw.)
