The Bottom Line:
I wanted a great sounding am/fm radio, and that's what this is in spades. Only time will tell about longevity
I have a 7 year old walkman cassette am/fm radio that is getting long in the tooth so I set out to buy a replacement.
I only wanted a radio so I went and bought a little Aiwa digital am/fm for $60, reception was terrible, statichy, noisy, like a $5.00 radio so I took it back and decided to go back and try this little sony. All I can say is wow, it really sounds good and itsn't that what it's all about. Forget about backlighting, wastes batteries. It locks stations really well, sounds great in am/fm so, since this is my firsr review on epinions, I won't drag this review on except to say it is just what I wanted, a no frills, got it where it counts, small am/fm radio.............way cool.
