Sony SRF-F85 AM/FM Radio

After my previous Sony AM/FM Walkman (The armband one!) gave up the ghost, I needed a replacement. The only time I ever use this is when I'm running, so the key features that I'm looking for are station memory (so that I can change stations without looking) and a reasonably small size. Having had an armband model previously, I thought that I could save some $$$ and just go with something that clips onto my waist band.

I bought this item in early October. Two weeks later, as I'm two miles into a 12 miler, the tuning on the radio starts going crazy...just random static and ghosting of other stations. Eventually, I just turn the thing off and finish up in silence. I figured that stuff happens and that maybe this was just a bad apple out of the factory. I exchange it for a replacement and set off once again.

Well...two weeks later...the same thing happens! So, this one is going back, and I'll have to find something else to replace this with.

This is a good unit feature wise, but it just doesn't seem to be of a quality that I would feel comfortable recommending to anybody else.
