I really like it for cycling! Great reception!

Pros Weather Band, Lock, Digital Tuning, Many presets
Cons Not so great reception indoors, cube-mate borrows it to listen to TV soaps.
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  I recommend this radio to anyone that needs to be on the move and listen to the Radio(AM)(FM), TV, Weather.
I really like this radio. I commute to work on my bike in Phoenix, Arizona, well rather I start in El Mirage, and go through Glendale, Peoria, and finish in Phoenix. 20.3 miles one way. El Mirage is out of town, great reception out there.

I don't use the arm-band, but it seemed to work if I chose to. I don't use the headphones it comes with, I replaced them with ear-buds because I only put it in one ear, and listed for cars in the other. I put the radio in my shirt pocket on my back. If I want to change anything, I've learned where the buttons and volume control are, and I just reach back there and make the adjustment.

I've never listed to the Weather Band on anything before, but I've grown to love it. I can find out what the weather will be for the coming week which is very handy. Granted, in Phoenix you just have to say, "Hot." And you would be spot on. :-) But how hot, that is the key.

I've dropped it a few times, and it has survived very well. It is also a very good looking radio, which I appreciate. When I set in on my desk at work, people will come around to check out what that crazy looking thing is.

It also has a function where I can set it to beep through the headphones after a specified period of time, which I have used a couple of times. If I am trying to time myself (push myself) I have set the timer to beep every 5 minutes and do that 4 times (that is automatic also) and I can set my pace to what I want to accomplish in those 5 minutes intervals. Very nice, but not often used. This thing also has a stop watch, and timer, which will run the radio for a specified period of time, and shut off. I listed to a lot of talk radio, so the mega bass does not help me, and I have not tested it much. The volume wheel would probably be better served as a couple of buttons, as it does change sometimes when I a fishing around in my pocket to make adjustments, but it is easy to quick locate and adjust.

I haven't been able to find anything that compares to this radio, and I am happy to pay the $50 price tag. It does what I want it to do, and it does it very well. It even does some things I don't are about (TV, stopwatch) but can't hurt anything.
