No-Fuss, Does the job.
Pros
Simple to use system with high power. Good musicality and surround sound. Looks Cool.
Cons
Limited features (but does the job), Runs quite hot, push-in speaker posts.

Yes
The Bottom Line:
This high-power amp does a good job with music and surround sound. It doesn't have tonnes of features, but it does the basics well. Keeps sounding better every day!
I bought this amp as I needed a 100W per channel receiver to power my new Wharfedale Movie star 60 speaker system.
It was a tough decision as there are many products at this price, all with different specs.
Once I got it home, I was slightly disappointed, as it has 'snap in' speaker mounts, (I wanted screw down), no scart input and only a few movie / music 'effect' modes.
Though with the purchase of the right leads, I was able to plug in my DVD, PC, CD, VCR - with room for a couple more.
However once I got the system set up, I was pleasantly surprised.
Although the 'functions' on the receiver are quite basic, the sound quality off them is great.
I'm no expert - but I get a real HIFI experience, good sound depth and range. Decent clarity in the high-end and the bass. No complaints at all.
I had heard that it is hard to get a surround-sound receiver that played good music, and I had also heard Sony were not that good at either.
But I think if you need a high power amp to listen to loud MP3 / CD and have some fun with DVD surround sound - this will do you proud.
And now I'm glad I haven't got 50 digital effects that I will never use - (and will probably break prematurely).
Even my wife can use it.
