Have used this since early 2005. In late 2010 the front L & R channels simply stopped working -- period. Although a decent performing receiver, one would hope to get a little more use out of the investment. Receiver was always used at normal room temperature and never pushed to any limits. So now I am forced to shop for a new one! My overall luck with Sony products has not been very good despite their supposed high reputation. I have taken an older Sony amplifier and a 5 disk CD player to the dump in the past after a similar 4-5 period of normal use. Is this the best one can expect?
