The Bottom Line:
I would recommend this product over a projection TV. There are better TVs out there but at this price you won't likely find any.
This is the first Sony TV I have owned and I am hooked. We wanted a big screen but our rec room is too small so we looked for a 37-42 inch LCD. The 37 was $500 less than the 40 so price had some effect. We were excited to find how many inputs this had over our last TV. It has 3 AV in, 2 component video, 2 HDMI, 1 DVI and a PC input. It also has a USB port in the rear but it is presently only for maintenance and updating firmware. I have a satelite for HDTV, a Wii, an XBox, a dvd and a vcr plugged into it. It even has a naming feature for your inputs. Sound is good, not amazing but does the job. A home theatre system would make things better but it is definately functional. The real prize is the image quality. Especially with the new HD channels the picture is bright and crisp with detail. I can see the puck again when I watch Hockey in HD! If I could change one thing it would be auto zoom when the picture is in a different aspect ratio. It is sometimes a worse picture in standard definition when image is stretched to fill the screen.
