The Bottom Line:
If you are looking for a good TV for a good price, then this TV is worth taking a look at.
We went looking to buy a 61 inch DLP from Samsung, but when we compared picture and viewing angle for both, this Sony won hands down. I would have preferred the newer 120MHz engine but this TV has a great picture with minimal pixilationon fast movement but I couldn't justify the $400 - $600 price difference. (If that is really important to you, go with the 52W4100 series) Even though Sony doesn't measure in contrast ratio, this is up there with the 20,000:1 to 30,000:1 TV's that we also looked at. The sound is good but not great. Plenty of HDMI, (4) component (2) and composite (2) connections. More than I would ever need. Even our older non-progressive DVD player looked good. But that is in comparison to our old tube based TV. We used this TV for about 4 days on standard analog cable and the picture wasn't that bad as some of the other reviews I have read. But, when our HD cable was hooked up, all my family could say was "WOW!".
Although this is our first HD TV, I researched HD TV's for quite some time and when the time came, we decided to go with this one and have been extremely happy ever since.
If you are looking for a very nice TV for a great price pint, then I would recommend looking at this TV.
