The Bottom Line:
As a low-priced cd-alarm clock, with mp3 player input, this works fine if you're not looking for amazing sound quality.
My alarm clock broke, so I went out and bought a replacement without doing much research. I'm still a bit ambivalent about this alarm clock. I like that it has two alarms, both of which may be set to radio, buzzer, or CD (any track you want) to wake up. Although it has an MP3-player input (nice for those of us who don't use an iPod and would find iPod docking stations useless), you cannot wake to the MP3 player (no aspect of your player's power is controlled by the clock).
Because I bought this without much research, I didn't realize it has an analog tuner. The antenna is the power cord, and I had difficulty getting reception for the only radio station I like to listen to. Reception changed dramatically, however, when I let the power cord go relatively taut and touch the power cord for another device. A nice trick--and the reception's probably good enough now that I won't return it.
The CD and MP3-player functions ended up not being a great boon to me. I wanted those functions so that I could use the alarm clock as my stereo system for my small bedroom, but I've found that the sound quality is just not good enough.
Now that I have decent radio sound, I think I will keep this alarm clock. A small improvement in sound from a slightly more expensive machine would probably not be worth it--so I wait a while until I invest in a Bose.
