Great unit, but with a few disappointing quirks

Technically solid but terrible user interface
This head unit has a major advantage in allowing a crossover function (high pass and low pass frequency output) to reside within itself, thereby allowing good sound separation for your lows, mids and highs without having to buy an additional amplifier with a built-in crossover or an entirely... Where's the quality control??

Last time I buy Sony
OK I have had this unit since March 04. The remote that was included with it, I exchanged immediately because the buttons would work when it wanted to, and other times not at all, then other times one push of a button would result in it acting as if my finger was being held on the button.

To many times in the shop
I really like the sound quality out of this unit. The clock is kind of hard to read but what is really annoying is the fact it's on the second trip back to Sony the first time it started smoking this time the display isn't working im kind of let down by Sony this time around. Read full review »
