My 1st Year with the Sony CDX-GT200
Pros
Aux-in jack for MP3 player, great sound, inexpensive, radio reception
Cons
None - except who needs the remote control :)
Recommended it?
Yes
The Bottom Line:
Buy this unit. I have had it for almost a year now and it can't be beat. You will be happy with this purchase.
I purchased this Sony at Circuit City in late 2005 and paid only $99. I have been absolutely please with the performance of this stereo/CD player in every way. From the design, to the features, to the sound quality and reception. This is a solid unit - you can't go wrong with it. I have absolutely no complaints, and from someone who prefers the higher-end factory systems, this is excellent.
I was really worried about radio reception since I have had after-market systems before and they never seem to be as good with reception as the factory systems. I was pleasantly surprised that the reception on both FM and AM bands is superb.
The Aux In jack for my MP3 player is my most used feature. You can pick up a cheap cord from radio shack for $2.99 and you are all set to go. This is a very nice feature and one that I would highly recommend.
The only thing that I would say is not needed is the remote. I mean, who needs a remote for the car radio? I've used it once and that was only to test the thing (and yes, it does work).
WELL DONE SONY!!!
