Not exactly what I hoped for
First thoughts I got my CDX-GT310 from best buy for christmas as a gift. I had really been looking for a way to control the ipod from the radio, ideally to have it display song/artist information on the radio face.

Practical review
Hello,
The 310 fills my needs very well. It plays MP3s and has front-side AUX-IN. I can't hear a difference in the sound quality from my previous stock radio (Mazda Protege 2000). I would have gotten the 210, but for an extra 20$, I got the 310 with free installation.

Sound is not great.
I just purchased the Sony CDX-GT310 at Circuit City. I like the features & ease of use. I only listen to the radio & CD's so I didn't need the extra features of the more expensive units. Not that great, No bass
I bought this at Best Buy today and am going to return it (the radio doesn't work). My old faceplate was stolen recently so I thought an upgrade to a mp3 etc ready system would be good.
