Sony CDX-GT320 Car CD / MP3 Player

I'm not going to waste a lot of time or space here taking up the web sites storage space. The quick and the short of it is last September (2008) we had this unti installed by Circuit City in our sons Civic. Worked great.... for about 6 months. In March (2009) he mentioned that his radio quit, no power. I checked it and could find no obvious issues. Power was getting to the pigtail, and fuses were good, and replaced anyway. No go. So I routed out the original receipts and paperwork, downloaded a return for service warranty form from Sony, and sent it off (at my expense). Two months later we get a brand new unit. Cool I thought. So I install the new unit, and immediately I could tell something was not right with this new unit. As soon as you attempted to turn the volume  up any, it would cut out. So we thought, maybe it was the speakers as they were old. So I replaced them with some good speakers. Little help. You could listen to the MP-3 player OK, and the CD player seemed to be better than the radio, so we felt let it go and see what happenes. Comes the end of June, my son again says that the unit has quit. I again pack it up and fill out the forms and send it off to Sony. Month and a half later we get yet another unit. I install the unit in the car, and it seems to work pretty good, better than the other replacement unit, but still would cut out if you cranked it up somewhat. Last week my son mentioned, dad the radio in my car stopped again. Enough, is enough. This was the third unit we put into that car in less than a year. All three would cut out at the slightest volume adjustment, then die within months of being installed. Do not waste your time or money on this piece of junk, buy a different model and save yourself some grief.
