The Bottom Line:
Great sound, it's tough can take a beating, and will last you a long time, and it's clear and loud.
I got this unit about a year ago at BestBuy for $99 with free installation. It actually turns out they made a mistake, they only charged me for the parts, face plate and all that which is needed, which costed me $14.00, and they never did charge me for the Sony CD player,Haha.. Oh well!!!
The stereo has good quality buttons, easy to use, a Bright Red and blue color for the display and buttons, looks cool 52x4 Watts, EQ , Great Sound! Alot of Stereo for the dollar, I compared this at Best Buy and Circuit city to the Pioneer, Kenwood, Alpine , JVC , Clarion , and a couple others, and I tell you what this Sony blew the competition away, much louder with greater base and clear sound the Sony was obviously the best choice , It sounded better than about everything they had, even some costing $250.00
I have used this thing for a year now and it still plays flawless every time, It takes a big bump on the rd to make it skip, which it doesn't really skip, it just leaves off where it was before you hit the bump. And that is normal for any Car CD player, just this sony handles it better, like I said takes a bigger bump on the road that you normally won't hit anyway to upset this thing. I use it everyday in my car, it get alot of hard abuse, I play it loud often. The AM/FM radio is nice, because this cd player is easy to set the stations up on, radio comes in clear also. This is a full inexpensive Cd player considering all you are getting with it, it's probably the best Stereo for the money on the market, or at least it may still be? I don't know, but it was when I bought it. They make the same stereo now present time (Sony), but it looks a little different than this product I own and that we are rating. I am guessing it is about the same unit, and would recommend it if you can't still find this one. I don't see why anybody would be unhappy with this one, I think it's total kick @ss.
