The Bottom Line:  If you are looking for a good quality CD car stereo for a great price, this one is worth a serious look.
When shopping for a new stereo for my Ford Windstar, I wanted one that had some basic features for around 100-120. I looked at Kenwood, Awia and the Sony CDX-S2000. I went with the Sony mostly due to my past expierence with Sony Car Audio. I am glad to say I am not disappointed in the least. They make my factory speakers sound much better. It seemed that the louder it got, the better the sound. (I have the Xplod Bass setting on). I noticed very little distortion as the volume increased. I considered getting new speakers for the van, but with this unit, I can hold off for a bit and maybe get a new alarm. It was easy to set the time and the pre-set stations. The removable faceplate is a great security feature.

Moving from CD to radio is just a push of a single button. Setting the radio presets is just a matter of finding the station, pressing and holding the preset button, and presto, it's saved.

The only issue I have had to this point regarding the stereo is the fact that the display on the unit is constantly bright. This could cause a distraction while driving. I have heard that hitting a big pothole can cause the unit to skip, but I tend to avoid those big potholes. I would also like to see Sony put MP3 playback in this model, since I have most of my music library as MP3's on my computer.

All in all, this is a great system. For the $155 total it cost me (including labor, bracket to mount the stereo in the van, and some wiring), it was well worth the price.
