Not Good
Pros
Sound quality is good and ear buds are comfortable.
Cons
Controls are not intuitive and very difficult to operate.
Recommended it?
No
The Bottom Line:
Don't buy this unit! The buttons are small and hard to operate and they are not intuitive.
I'm very sorry to report that this CD player didn't work. I was surprised since I've always like Sony products.
First of all whenever I put a CD or an MP3 disc into the player it made a chirping sound regularly and skipped pretty consistently. I tried several discs with the same problem. I consulted the Sony website and worked through the troubleshooting suggestions and it still did not work. I bought it at Target for $49.99 and returned it today for a full refund.
I didn't give it one star because when it did play it sounded great. The earbuds were comfortable and stayed in my ears. The radio sounded very good too. The TV sound was terrible and was only able to pick up channel 5 in Los Angeles.
The other thing was the controls. The buttons were too small and very difficult to work. It was not intuitive at all! You need to flip the toggle over and over just to get to the volume control and half the time it did not work. If this player had worked I probably would have lived with it. But since the one I bought was defective, I will not buy another one. I'm looking for another player with more simplified control buttons.
There are other units out there that sound just as good but easier to operate. I would recommend that you skip this one and get something else.
