my first home theater system
Pros
audio calibration, good sound quality, looks nice, good tech support
Cons
complicated menu system
Recommended it?
Yes
The Bottom Line:
I recommended it
So far my experience with this system has been good. I bought this system of course because I wanted a home theater system. I went with a Sony mainly because Bose is so expensive.
What I like most about this system is the sound quality. It's not top of the line, but better than I had expected. I also like the audio calibration feature, where you set the microphone in your listening area and the system will automatically adjust the sound for you. When I first set it up I had to call tech support because the sound wasn't coming out of all of the speakers. The tech support was very helpful and friendly, and solved my problem in minutes, even though we had to go through complicated things in the menu.
One thing I don't like about this system is the complicated menu system. There are many different categories and sub categories, which makes it confusing to find what you're looking for. Another thing I don't like is the remote control will only let me change one channel at a time, I can't press the number pad. I don't know why this is because my tv is a sony as well, and fairly new, and you would think the remote would work with it.
Overall I do recommend this home theater system.
