This system is plenty for a bedroom, den, or small rec room. I bought one for my Sony KDL 40S2400 LCD TV and it sounds great. The TV has only one HDMI input so I connected my digital cable box via DVI/HDMI and my upconverting DVD player via HDMI to the two HDMI inputs on this receiver. It has one HDMI output that connects to the TV. With this connection you can easily switch between your cable and DVD through the AV and still get a true digital connection. The picture is fantastic. I tested it on the "War of the World's" DVD upconverted to 1080i and the sound would shake the whole room. In a small room you can't turn the volume to the max or you'll go deaf. I would highly recommend this receiver. It has great connectivity for all of your gear. It has two HDMI inputs, three component inputs, S-video and RCA jacks. You can connect your new or old equipment to this AV. It's a bargain for $250.00 at Wal-Mart. It comes with the AV receiver, 5-speakers and a powered sub-woofer. It also includes a microphone that automatically calibrates the speaker output for your seating position in the room.
