After a pair of Nikons fogged up and was not covered under warranty(Charged $25.00 to repair, 6 mths old). I purchased a pair of these. The image quality is awesome. You can view objects before and after sunset that you can't make out with the naked eye. Great for stalking redfish on the flats. I carry them in the kayak, waterproof and exceptionally bright. THE BEST binos under $300.00 easy. I let my 4 year old daughter play with my Nikons, because after using the 575 steiners I don't care what happens to the Nikons. The Nikons 8x25 and 10x25 that I have are junk compared to the Steiners! If I had the $$$ the Commander V's would be next on my list to compare to the 575's.
