Know exactly where you are (and are going) at all times! Costco.com $450!

byoman9 Jun 17, 2005
29 Helpfuls 30 Helpfuls Was this review helpful?
Pros Never lost, POI directory, navigation data, good touch screen, voice prompts, very user...
Cons These are nits, glare on screen, POI data not 100% accurate, finger prints.
Recommended it? Yes

I drive all over for work. I go to new destinations on a regular basis and have relied on internet directions for years now. Actually the internet directions are correct about 95 % of the time, but it is a hassle to have to punch in where I'm going from, where I'm headed to and then print out the... Read full review »

Garmin StreetPilot? c320 GPS Navigation Receiver - Cheap and Easy To Use

bydkozin Mar 7, 2007
25 Helpfuls 26 Helpfuls Was this review helpful?
Pros Cheap, easy to use, mostly works well, features, graphics, voice turn-to-turn directions,...
Cons Slow startup, occasional accuracy issues
Recommended it? Yes

I did not really need a GPS Receiver. I usually drive to the familiar places and if I drive somewhere else, Mapquest or Google Maps are just a click away. But the GPS Receivers are cool and I would not mind having one when I travel. When Frys had the Garmin StreePilot c320 on sale for $200 online... Read full review »

Pros Super-easy, good accuracy, great voice prompts, nice mounting options, CHEAP!!!
Cons Can't browse map in navigation mode; sometimes quirky directions
Recommended it? Yes

My wife decided to surprise me with a TomTom Go 300 for my birthday (~$550 at CircuitCity). Before I tore open the box to play with my new toy, I decided to take the unit back to the store and do a little more research on the various GPS units out there (as I always obsessively do with any... GREAT, but not perfect

Pros Small; Good touchscreen; lots of nice features; internal battery; fast satellite...
Cons Clunky proprietary mounting arm; robotic voice prompts; screen glare; Inaccurate map data.
Recommended it? Yes

This is the second automotive GPS unit I have owned, and this one is far superior to the first, and cheaper too (if you purchase from an online retailer).

THE GOOD
--------
1. So small! The biggest part of this unit is the screen. Easily fits in the palm of your hand, and thus... Read full review »

Pros Price, features.
Cons POI into on-board memory

Here we go. Lot's of good things about this unit. Great price 279 shipped, Size of the unit, Definition and color, very easy to use, customizable POI.

Now let's go to the not so good. My biggest complaint is that the POI is loaded directly to the units on board memory. What this means is... Read full review »

Cons I didn't have it ten years ago. Maps are sometimes outdated

I love this thing. Two days after buying it I was ready to get another one to be the "floater" unit for visitors (I'm not giving mine up).

First, you'll want to buy a 1GB SD card. These can be had for under $20 now and it will allow you to load the entire U.S. and most of Canada into the... Read full review »

Beats the heck out of a paper map!

Pros Starts up fast (30secs),clear LCD, Touch Screen GUI,good search features
Cons Wish it had a cupholder mount, 128Mb SD card only holds 2 states
Recommended it? Yes

I bought it off a online store for under $400 (incl shipping). It came with the device, a power cable, car windshield/cigarette adapter kit, cdroms and manual. The difference between the c320 and c330 is that the latter has a HD in it too.
The StreetPilot is a hoot to 'play' with. It's worked... Read full review »

Pros easy to use, well timed instruction, nice size
Cons software: some locations do not display when prompted (see review)also no beanbag for dash
Recommended it? Yes

First off, I love this thing. My wife got it for me at Costco for $270. I figured with technology changing so rapidly, anything I get will be outdated in a few years. So why not go with the least expensive unit in a well established brand.

The fact is that I love this thing. It is so much... Read full review »

We were in the process of looking for a new house and after getting lost numerous times following google and mapquest directions, finally decided to purchase the Garmin C320. I recently was in the market to buy a GPS because I had seen how easy they made navigation verses printed internet directions. I was going to get the Garmin i3 but found the StreetPilot C320 for the amazing price of $370 at Costco. $422 was the grand total after taxes, non-member fee and shipping... Read full review »
