The Bottom Line:
Excellent quality, worth its high price.
When I was searching for a pocket binocular, I looked at the Leica trinovid, Zeiss Victory compact and Swarovski pocket. My requirements were: top quality, waterproof (trinovid is not), good build quality, wide range of diopter adjustments (Zeiss only up to +/- 3) and usable with and without wearing glasses.
I didn't buy the Zeiss because of the small diopter correction. The Swarovski just met all my requirements. Also after using it in practice I can confirm this. I use it mainly while wearing spectacles and the image quality is excellent. The focusing wheel is easy to adjust, while at the same time mechanically robust. Just holding it in your hands, and looking through the optics, makes you appreciate the quality and forget its high price.
If you doubt between the 8x20 and the 10x25, buy the 8x. This 8x magnification gives you a stable, shake free image. I expect it to be more difficult to obtain a shake free image at 10x magnification. Also, the 'extra' light gathering power of the 10x25 is not worth mentioning.
I can absolutely recommend it. If you are tight on budget, buy the Zeiss instead (if +/- 3 diopter adjustment is acceptable to you). If budget constraints are even tighter, do not buy anything. Then, keep on saving until you can afford a top quality product.
